What is ELEVESS?

ELEVESS™ is a cross-linked hyaluronic acid-based injectable dermal filler that is used to correct lines and wrinkles on the face.

Elevess Frequently Asked Questions

What is Hyaluronic Acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of healthy and hydrated skin.  Hyaluronic acid has the ability to absorb large quantities of water, and form complexes with collagen and elastin.  These complexes support the structure of the skin, contribute to the skin’s elasticity, and create volume in the skin.  Age and sun exposure lead to decreased production of hyaluronic acid, resulting in decreased volume in the face and the appearance of wrinkles.

How does ELEVESS work?

ELEVESS is injected into the skin in the area of wrinkles and decreased volume to help restore the skin’s youthful appearance and keep skin hydrated. ELEVESS is resorbed by the skin naturally over several months, providing longer-lasting results than collagen-based fillers.

How is ELEVESS different from other hyaluronic acid-based fillers?

ELEVESS contains the highest concentration of any dermal filler approved in the U.S., as well as a unique cross-liner, leading to a long-lasting, natural correction. ELEVESS is a gel, which is easy to inject through a very thin (30g) needle. The addition of the anesthetic lidocaine to ELEVESS improves patient comfort during and after the injection.

Will I need a skin test before injection with ELEVESS?

A skin test is not necessary prior to an injection.

Will the ELEVESS injection hurt?

ELEVESS contains lidocaine to enhance patient comfort. You may wish to apply ice or a topical anesthetic to the injection site for additional comfort.

Will I experience side effects from ELEVESS?

Side effects, which include minor redness or swelling at the injection site, are generally mild to moderate and resolve in a few days. You can resume your normal activities right away after your ELEVESS injection. For additional information on side effects, please consult the patient information sheet or the product Instructions For Use.
